Welcome to part 4 of my Mini Mobile Game Review series! Today's game review will be on Tiny Tower: 8 Bit Retro Tycoon, a cozy, idle life simulation game where you're managing your own skyscraper!
Tiny Tower

Tiny Tower is a fun idle management game where you're creating your own skyscraper tower. The more you play, the more floors you'll be able add to grow your tower taller. Tiny Tower is available for both iPhone/iPad and Android users! Find the game today on the Apple app store or Google Play.
Tiny Tower was made by the same developers who made Pocket Frogs, a game I reviewed earlier in my series. (Read my Pocket Frogs Review here) Nimblebit is known for lots of popular mobile games we play and love such as Disco Zoo, Pocket Frogs, Pocket Planes, Pocket Trains and plenty more! Tiny Tower has been around for over a decade now and I remember playing it when I had one of my very first iPod touches. The game brings back lots of nostalgia and still keeps my attention now after redownloading years later.
This game can be played with or without wifi. You won't get some of the free ad in-game prizes and incentives but, hey that might be just what you need to unwind with!
My Mini Mobile Game Review

Coziness
The customization of the different game elements, cute background music and sound effects are everything I look for in an adorable cozy game. And the cute 8-bit style of the game gives off cozy gaming vibes.
Appearance
The 8-bit game style is so adorable and done really well. I love the customization aspects of the game and being able to change the colors of each floor in your tower and move around the floors to give it your desired aesthetic.
Playability
Tiny Tower is really simple to play! Since it's an idle game, it's perfect to play for a little bit and pick it back up at a later time. Running the elevator up and down your tower to deliver bitizens (bit sized citizens residing in your tower) is really fun and once you get your elevator upgraded high enough, you can really zoom up to the tippy top of your tower. The random quests that pop up when you play can sometimes be a little challenging, especially the i-spy themed games when you're searching for specific characters or items throughout your tower. The more floors you have, the harder some of these challenges become.

Cost
Tiny Tower is free to play but there are tons of in-game purchases available. While you don't have to pay anything to play the game, I feel some of the paid options in the game are overwhelming. Most of them are seasonal and swap out with different app updates but, I just find these different events to be overwhelming and unachievable without throwing in some cash. I prefer the normal game-play to the seasonal events.
Overall Feel
I give this mobile game a 4 out of 5 stars! While I wish I was able to recover my old tower from years ago, I'm glad I was able to restart and take my time playing the game again. I love that it's not a game I have to put a ton of effort into and that I can come back at any point and not be penalized for not playing for an extended period of time. At the time of writing this review I have 84 floors and counting and I can't wait to see how far I can go!
