January 19th is "Brew a Potion Day" and what better way to celebrate than by checking out some cozy potion brewing games! So, grab your cauldron and potion bottles and get cozy with me as we talk about 6 great games that focus on potion making!

Potion Permit

When the mayor's daughter falls ill and the local witch doctor can't do anything help her, you step as the Medical Association's most accomplished chemist. Work towards gaining the trust of the town by healing each person in this open-ended sim RPG.

Diagnose the townsfolk's illnesses and decide on what kind of potions to use to cure their ailments. Once you've decided on an remedy, you must use your tools to gather ingredients out in the world to brew up your potions. Sometimes you won't be able to gather certain materials as easily as harvesting them from a bush and you'll need to confront monsters prowling in the nearby wilderness with your weapons.

In between healing the townsfolk, you're free to explore the countryside and get to know the characters a little more. You can visit the tavern, go fishing and freely explore the town and build relationships. And the best part of all, you bring your furry and faithful companion along on your journey. Your dog is with you every step of the way so, make sure you give him lots of pets and reward him when he helps you out on your quests!

There are no time limits in this game and you are free to go at your own pace, which makes this a great cozy game. Potion Permit is available on Windows, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and is coming soon to iOS and Android!

Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator

Potion Craft is an alchemist simulator where you interact with tools and ingredients to brew potions. You're in full control of the shop! Invent new recipes, attract customers and experiment with all the potions to your hearts content.

In Potion Craft, you will learn the art of potion making. Grind up ingredients and carefully mix them in your cauldron. Experiment with new recipes but, be mindful of what you're mixing together. Grow and buy ingredients to stock your shop and get creative with your potion bottle customization.

Customers will come into your shop each day in need of solutions for all of their problems. It's up to you to decide what potions to sell them. Potion Craft is a sandbox style game where you have many different avenues available and it's up to you to figure out the best way to complete each task. Potion Craft is available on Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox.

Wylde Flowers

Join Tara on her journey to become a witch as she moves to a rural island to help our her grandma and family farm. Relax into your rural lifestyle as you tend crops, care for farm animals, fish, craft and more during the day. And by night, nurture your inner witch and discover all there is to becoming a witch. Learn to fly a broomstick, control the weather, turn into a cat, connect with your coven AND you guessed it, brew potions!

Choose how your story unfolds as you craft out your cottagecore life. Befriend the townspeople and even choose who you fall in love with. Develop both domestic and magical crafts through cooking, fishing, farming animal care, magic spells and potions.

Wylde Flowers is available on Windows, Nintendo Switch and iOS through Apple Arcade. And I have to note, as an iPad gamer, it's a great game to play on an iPad!

Potion Tycoon

Potion Tycoon is a management simulator with a witchy twist! Build and develop your own magic shop. Manage resources, set up production lines, mix potions and sell them to stay ahead of the competition.

This is another game of potion exploration! Experiment with ingredients and combine them in different ways to create new potion types; healing, summoning, invisibility and much more. Upgrade and expand your operation and attract audiences from VIP customers and accept special requests to get rich and famous.

Potion Tycoon is currently available for Windows.

Witchy Life Story

Play as the youngest member of the illustrious magical von Teasel family, but you're not exactly their pride and joy. Your grandmother has given you one last chance to prove yourself, or no more witch training. Customize yourself as a witch however you see fit as you move to the small village of Flora, where you have only two weeks to help the locals prepare their harvest festival for success.

Tend to your garden to collect plants and herbs to use in your magical recipes and brew potions. Enchant the locals and fill orders for small spells like relaxation incense and chitchat potions. Craft spells, perform tarot card readings, lead guided meditations and more. And of course, plan an entire village festival in only two weeks! There's plenty of time to throw some extra witchy chaos into the mix!

The Cauldron Kids: The Summoning of Mr. Vermicelli

The Cauldron Kids is a cozy and charming narrative RPG where you play as a 6 year old witch planning to cause to trouble when you're home alone. Choose to play as on of the twins; Cassie or Layla and experience their own sets of dialogue and storyline.

Embark on a silly and heartwarming journey to steal your mom's wand and cast a spell on your frog plushie. What could go wrong? Explore the magical house full of minigames; bounce off the giant staircase, race across a non-euclidian kitchen and open doors to galactic voids.

This adorable RPG will be releasing on January 25th, 2024 on Windows and Mac and it is controller supported!
